Released: March 5th, 2014

Official Synopsis: "Fifeteen-year old Arena Power blindly accepts her destiny in a world filled with tragedy, chaos, and a lingering wickedness that will tempt every man's soul until the last days on Earth. Set in the United States in 2053, America, like most of the world, has undergone catastrophic earthquakes, famine, and an economic collapse, which has rendered the nation hopeless. It has turned other nations, like Russia and China, to help restore what was once a world power. Unfortunately, the new America has grossly caused civil unrest that will eventually be the precursor to a much bigger war of biblical proportions.

Orphaned at the age of nine, Arena and her twin brother, Gabe, have learned to rely on each other through the toughest times. Not only do they share the same birthday and the tragic loss of their parents, they both have a birthmark on the backs of their necks in the shape of the crucifix. This is only but a small sign of the destiny that will follow. On their fifteenth birthday they receive a mystery letter and key from their estranged Uncle Finnegan. This key will unlock their fate, and it will be up to a priest, who has vowed to protect them since birth, to unfold the layers of their destiny-to undo the evil that has spoiled the world, and to help unleash God's wrath upon those who have turned from Him in there last days of history."

*I was sent this book by the author in exchange for my honest review*

My Review:  Last Light Falling is an action packed book that will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to know whats going to happen next! At the end of every chapter there was cliff-hanger that kept me glued to the book!

The book is set in America in the year 2053; and unfortunately the world is falling apart... A flu virus spread across the Earth and wiped out 4 billion people! On top of that, the government is implementing an awful point system that divides the world into three classes: the rich, the poor, and the Watchers. America is in its worst state in history, the people of the world have no more morales and will do anything to gain power... Arena and Gabe, the main characters, are called upon by God to carry out his wrath...

Arena and Gabe are twins, and were orphaned at the age of nine. In the book you get to see a lot of their memories before their parents death's. I really liked that aspect of the book because you start to understand how much these kids went though, and how it has effected them emotionally.

Arena and Gabe are very special. Besides the fact that they were called upon by God to prepare the world for its end, both Arena and Gabe have amazing talents. Gabe is a kid genius and Arena is very skilled in combat. They both know many languages (which I thought was really cool!) and are very independent for being only fifteen. All of these talents make the character development extremely well written! I got very attached to all the characters in the book, even the ones who played a less important role.

The world building in this book was great! The government was explained well and I could visualize the world that the author created! This book is a bit violent. Arena is a highly trained killer and will stop at nothing to carry out the wrath of God. I really liked how the characters were extremely devoted to their faith. They let nothing stop them from completing the task that God has given them. The biblical aspect was very intriguing to read about. I've never read a YA book based around this topic but I am very glad that I now have. Overall I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read an awesome, action packed, and unique book! The next book in the series is called Into the Darkness

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!
