Official Synopsis: "Britt Pfeiffer has trained to backpack the Teton Range, but she isn't prepared when her ex-boyfriend, who still haunts her every thought, wants to join her. In exchange for her life, Britt agrees to guide the men off the mountain. As they set off, Britt knows she must stay alive long enough for Calvin to find her. Things get even more complicated when Britt finds chilling evidence of a series of murders that took place on that very mountain-a discovery that might make her the killer's next target.
But nothing is as it seems in the mountains, and everyone is keeping secretes, including Mason, one of her kidnappers. His kindness is confusing Britt. Is he an enemy or an ally?"

My Review: When I started this book I was expecting a lot from it... The hype for the book made it seem as if it would be great; but unfortunately it did not live up to my high expectations. I don't know if I'm partially to blame because maybe I was setting my self up with unrealistic standards; but either way this book was a very big let down for me. However I still would recommend checking it out if it REALLY looks like something you would enjoy.

The book is about a teenage girl named Britt, who has a best friend named Korbie. Korbie's brother is Britt's ex-boyfriend whose name is Calvin. Calvin and Britt broke up right before he went off to collage. It's spring break and the two best friend's are planning on hiking Teton Range. But there's one problem... Calvin is coming.

Britt devises a plan to make Calvin jealous, and regret ever breaking her heart. Maybe even try to fix things between them. Britt has been training all year preparing herself for the 40 mile hike up the range. As the duo are trying to get to Korbie's families home there is a HUGE snowstorm and their forced to find shelter. They come across a cabin and decided to see if anyone's home. Two attractive looking guys answer the door and take them in for the night. But they soon learn these men are not who they say they are... Britt and Korbie are taken hostage! The two guy's force Britt to take them off the range to escape their crimes... Will Britt be able to save herself from the terrors that await? You have to read the book too find out.

I had some major problems with this book! #1) INSTALOVE. Britt immediately "fell in love" With one of her captures... and it felt like every second she was changing her mind on who to trust...  #2) SHE WAS NOT VERY SMART. Everything they choose to do didn't make any sense! Example: They decided to leave all their food and gear in the car before trying to go out and find shelter... WHO DOES THAT??? And #3 BRITT WAS A WEAK CHARACTER. The only thing going through her brain was "I got to get to Calvin." "Calvin will find me." "Will Calvin love me when he saves me?" She was so dependent on other people... And I seriously don't understand why she even likes Calvin... He was terrible to her, no girl should be treated the way he treated her. I know my words could of sounded very harsh, but it is my honest opinion. But even though I didn't enjoy the book doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a shot. I've seen some book discussions on youtube where people have loved it.

The character development wasn't very strong. However, Bridget did become more independent as the story progressed. But honestly, it felt like she went back to her old ways once she got back home. As for the world building, it was okay. It wasn't bad... Just not great either. It had some detail but I felt that it could of used more at times. Another thing I had a problem with was Bridget's best friend, Korbie. She was such a bad friend... Honestly I don't know anyone who would want a friend like her, she made everything a competition. One good thing is it was very easy to read, I enjoyed her writing style. It flowed well. Also, I liked the concept. It wasn't crazy original, but I liked how it was always throwing you off. Once I thought I figured the mystery out, a new piece of information would pop up and I'd change my mind. Overall this book wasn't for me, but if it interests you I would check out some youtube reviews and get more detailed explanation.

I give this book a 2 out of 5 stars!
