My Review:

Isla and the Happily Ever After is a great conclusion to the series. The first two are, Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door

In this book we follow a girl named Isla, and St. Claire's friend Josh. I enjoyed finding out more about Josh; however I didn't have that strongly of a connection to the characters, which is a little bit disappointing. But keep in mind that everybody has a different connection to different characters. In the beginning of the story Isla has just had her wisdom teeth removed, so when she runs into her crush Josh she's a bit out of it. Josh offers to walk her home. When school starts they begin talking and getting to know each other. Isla has a best friend named Kurt; but Kurt has a hard time with making friends, so Isla and him spend a lot of time together. Quickly Josh comes to the conclusion that Kurt is Isla's boyfriend, so he's always hesitant on asking her out. When she tells him that Kurt is NOT her boyfriend they quickly start going out. What's different about this book is within the first 40 pages Josh and Isla are already boyfriend and girlfriend; so the story is mainly about Josh and Isla's relationship as a couple; Instead of Stephanie Perkins other books where we see the steps leading up to the relationship.

One of the things I felt made the story less enjoyable was that Isla wasn't a very strong female character, and she never stood up for herself. This made her character less likable for me. However I loved how relatable her story was (I mean come on guys, we have all had a crush on someone that we thought didn't even know we exist!) As always the exposition was amazing! I really liked how almost the whole book was about them as a couple! Overall this was a great conclusion and I loved how we saw all the characters from the other books! I recommend this series to everyone who enjoys reading a good love story!

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars!
